Almost any summer evening you want to dance or relax under the beautiful San Diego sky with a free concert, you’ll be able to find one close to where you are. From Carlsbad to Chula Vista, extending out to East County hear the sweet sound of music.

Encinitas Sunday Summer Concerts by the Sea are from 3-5 p.m. at Moonlight Beach. www.cityofencinitas.com. Listen to the sweet sound waves of the ocean and instruments at Scripps Park for La Jolla Concerts by the Sea every Sunday from 2-4 p.m. 

Celebrate the end of the week with Carlsbad TGIF Jazz in the Parks, Fridays from 6-8 p.m. Enjoy 9 concerts this summer in Stagecoach, Poinsettia and Calavera Hills parks. www.carlsbadca.gov.

Why not shake it while you shop? Seaport Village provides sweet sounds from 1-4 p.m. on Sundays at the East Gazebo that will have you dancin’ for more. www.seaportvillage.com/entertainment. 

After a day of sightseeing at Balboa Park stick around Tuesday through Thursday at for Twilight in the Park concerts at 6:15 p.m. www.balboapark.org.
