Accessibility information for our public website

Partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA

Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to the public-facing areas of 101things.com, including the homepage, destination guides, browse pages, articles, maps, and digital magazines.

Oregon 101 LLC, doing business as 101 Things To Do, is committed to making our public website usable for as many people as possible, including visitors who use assistive technology, keyboard navigation, zoom, or reduced-motion settings.

Based on an internal review completed in March 2026, we believe the core public experience is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Some areas still need improvement, especially where third-party or legacy promotional content is involved.

If you have trouble accessing any article, guide listing, map, or magazine content, let us know which page you were using and what assistance you need.

Measures We Use

Our public site is maintained with accessibility in mind as we design, publish, and update content.

  • Use semantic landmarks and heading structure across the public site.
  • Provide text alternatives for editorial, guide, map, and promotional images whenever source information is available.
  • Build keyboard-accessible navigation, browsing controls, and error states into the core public experience.
  • Review public pages and improve labels, descriptions, and interactive components as issues are identified.

What Works Today

Highlights from our current review of shared public templates and components.

  • Shared public layouts include consistent header, main, and footer regions.
  • Core navigation, browse views, and content cards are available without a mouse.
  • Guide, article, map, and promotional images generally include alt text or descriptive fallbacks.
  • Public pages are responsive and support browser zoom across phones, tablets, and desktop screens.

Known Limitations and Alternatives

We are continuing to improve the areas below. Please contact us if you run into an issue that is not listed here.

  1. Embedded digital magazines

Digital magazine issues are presented through an embedded Issuu viewer. That third-party experience may not provide the same level of keyboard and screen-reader support as the rest of the site. If you need help accessing a magazine, contact us and we will work with you on an alternate way to get the information.

  2. Rotating featured content and promotions

Some featured carousels and advertising placements advance automatically. We are reviewing better pause and reduced-motion handling for visitors who need more time to read or who prefer less motion.

  3. Legacy ad and image descriptions

Some older advertisements and promotional assets still use brief or incomplete alternative text. We are continuing to improve image descriptions across sponsor content and archived materials.

Scope and Review

This statement reflects an internal review of the current public website templates and shared UI components.

  • The homepage and shared public layout.
  • Destination publication pages and featured guide content.
  • Browse, article, and maps pages.
  • The public digital magazine experience.
