The Butterfield Cottage is the only beach cottage museum in Oregon. The Seaside Museum & Historical Society interprets the Butterfield Cottage to the era circa 1912. Learn the history of Oregon’s first seaside resort. Discover exhibits detailing over 2,000 years of Seaside heritage, artifacts dating from 700 B.C., and a diorama depicting Seaside in 1899. The museum also has a research library and photo archive. Be sure to leave yourself enough time to stroll through the beautiful gardens, maintained year-round by volunteers of the Sou’Wester Garden Club. Located at 570 Necanicum Drive.
